Fuel, services, paperwork and documents, one record for each car. Dear Car tells you what’s due before it’s late, and shares it all with the people who drive with you.
Coming soon to iPhone and Android. Free for one car.
What used to live in the glovebox, a notebook and your head.
Type what you paid and pick the grade. Dear Car remembers what that car paid per litre or gallon last time and works out how much went in. Charging works the same way, by kWh or battery percent, at home or out. Monthly spend and consumption follow on their own.
Dear Car learns how far each car drives in a day and fills in the reading for you; one tap confirms it, or type the real number. If a month goes by without one, it asks.
Oil, tyres, brakes, filters and more come due by distance, by date, or whichever comes first, with a reminder a week before and on the day. Templates follow the powertrain, so an electric car never asks for an oil change.
Registration or licence, insurance, inspection, warranties and driving licences, by the names your country uses, with reminders 30, 7 and 1 day before they run out. Pick other days if you like.
Photograph the insurance policy, the registration card and every receipt, and keep each with the car, service or expiry it belongs to. Only your garage can open them.
Invite the people who drive your cars with a link. Everyone sees the same records as they change, with who logged each entry and who paid. Turn on cost sharing and Dear Car keeps the balances, so settling up is one message.
Most cars have more than one driver. A garage keeps everyone on the same page, without a group chat full of receipts.
A fill-up logged by one of you shows up for everyone at once, with their name on it.
Split a car’s costs equally or by share. Dear Car works out the fewest payments that settle everyone. It never moves money.
Assign the next service to someone, and they get the reminder.
The owner invites with a link, turns old links off and can remove anyone. Anyone can leave whenever they like.
Your garage takes its country from your phone, and that sets the currency, units, fuel grades, paperwork and service schedule. Change it whenever you like.
Kilometres or miles, litres or gallons, and amounts with the decimals your currency uses: three for Jordan’s fils, none for Japan’s yen.
The grades your pumps sell: 95 or 98, 87 to 91 in the US, etanol in Brazil, or diesel.
In hot, dusty places such as Jordan, the Gulf and Egypt, intervals start from the severe-service schedule. Change any of them to match your mechanic.
The whole app in English, or in Arabic from right to left. Everyone in a garage picks their own.
Dear Car is coming soon to iPhone, iPad and Android. It works in any country.
No. You enter what happens: a fill-up, a service, a reading. There is no tracker, no GPS and nothing to plug in, and Dear Car never reads your location.
Only the people in your garage. Documents are stored privately and open through links that expire within the hour. There are no ads, and your data is never sold.
In the European Union: the app’s database in Ireland and your files in Cloudflare’s EU storage. Everything travels encrypted.
Not yet. Dear Car needs a connection to save, so everyone in a garage always sees the same record.
Yes. Export every car’s records to CSV whenever you like, on the free garage too.
In the app, under Account. It takes effect at once. Without the app, email us from the address you signed in with.
